用法辨析
- already的意思是“較早地”“提前”,可表示“比預想發生的時間早”,也可表示“比可能發生的時間早”,含有“想不到某事竟然已經發生了”或“以爲某事會晚一些發生”的意味。
- already一般用於肯定句中。與動詞搭配時,靜態動詞多用一般式,動態動詞多用完成式。表示與現在時間相比而已經做過的事,即by this time,須用現在完成時; 表示與過去時間相比而已經做過的事,即by that time,用過去完成時或過去進行時。already不用於一般將來時。
- already偶爾也可用於疑問式,或者表示驚訝、懷疑,或者表示期望〔預計〕有一個肯定的廻答。
- already在句中一般位於主要動詞前麪,系動詞或助動詞後麪。爲了強調,可置於句末、句首或助動詞之前。
- already不用於比較等級。

- You use already to show that something has happened, or that something had happened before the moment you are referring to. Some speakers use already with the simple past tense of the verb instead of a perfect tense.
- You use already to show that a situation exists at this present moment or that it exists at an earlier time than expected. You use already after the verb "be" or an auxiliary verb, or before a verb if there is no auxiliary. When you want to add emphasis, you can put already at the beginning of a sentence.
